St Bavo’s cathedral in Ghent is the repository of an exceptionally rich 17th- and 18th-century music collection, which was completely ordered and catalogued by the Alamire Foundation (within the Répertoire international des sources musicales).

2004 sees the preparation of the publication of the complete catalogue (with an elaborate scientific introduction), of a monography elucidating various aspects of music life, and of a volume in the Monumenta Flandriae Musica series with a selection of works from the collection.

We provide scientific advice to Festival van Vlaanderen Gent & Historische Steden concerning an artistic ‘total project’ centring on the cathedral’s musical heritage (realization: October 2005).
